Equilibrium - balance...
How is it that we as men (women) achieve a state of balance?
There are many parts of "us" that make us whole, but simply defined or reached they are four.
Mind: easy, our brain. But how do we nurture it and grow it? We think.... we read, talk, listen and see. This is how we grow and nourish our mind. Yet, we do these things and fall short. Why? Self certainty we believe we know what is right, what is good and most importantly who is wrong. Conservatives know Progressives are wrong and Progressives know Conservatives are wrong. Whites believe they know Blacks and Blacks believe they know whites. We decide ideas and hold them as true and in doing so we stop thinking. To think is to open our minds, to open our eyes, to accept our own fallibility and relish in learning. To learn we must indulge in that which we do not know, in that which we are unfamiliar, in that which we fear. It's not easy, nor comfortable, but it is life saving and creates... equilibrium
Body: perhaps the simplest yet hardest of our centering life. Exercise as if your life depended on it, IT DOES. Eat clean and healthy. It's harder than expected. We are nation of suicidal eaters. FAT, FAT, FAT, and if that's you then let's save your life. MOVE, that's a start, get up and move. Go outside, BREATH and move. Explore the world outside your home, and don't fear as it is the life killer. Snack on fresh food, apples, bananas, nuts and carrots (I love carrots). Find a friend who will exercise with you. Start slow, real slow. But most important is to MOVE and stop eating processed foods. It's been said well before me...
Heart: we love. We must love. Find love. Define love. But love.
Soul: this is the most complicated part of us, and that which makes us human. Talk with God. Discard all that you've been thought and define yourself for yourself. If you come back to your parents Dogma, then it's yours. There is no Good or Evil as all comes from God. All is of God. Free Will means just that FEE. It there is a right answer then it's not a choice . But find for yourself. Connect with your fellow man, and learn to listen. Our souls scream one thing "Love Me", but you must love first.
